If you would like to learn more about the North Carolina Tree
Farm Program,
Chris Brown (800) 231-7723 or cbrown@ncforestry.org Al Weller (252) 948-2744 or alweller@nctreefarm.org Landowners who would like to become enrolled in the program should download the application on this site and mail it in to Chris Brown. Landowners who have a forest management plan for their property should indicate that on their application. To be certified in the American Tree Farm System and a member of the North Carolina Tree Farm Program, a landonwer must be visited by an official Tree Farm Inspector. The Inspector will look over the forest managment plan and complete the proper paperwork. Landowners who do not have a forest managment plan should contact their local county ranger with the Division of Forest Resources to arrange for a free management plan. Landowners can also hire a consulting or private forester to write a forest management plan. Forest management plans provide direction for the landowner and make them eligible for several cost-share programs.
