All Inspectors must meet minimum eligibility requirements and attend a four-hour classroom Qualified ATFS Inspector training offered by the N.C. Tree Farm Program.  To keep an Inspector’s credentials active, he or she must complete at least one inspection every two years until the implementation of the revised ATFS Standards of Sustainability in 2020.  During this time, the 2020-2025 Standards will be revised and all inspectors will be required to update their credentials to the revised Standards.

The N.C. Tree Farm Program has volunteer Inspectors in most counties throughout the state. Find both an alphabetical listing of all N.C. Tree Farm Inspectors statewide as well as individual county listings here.

N.C. Tree Farm Inspectors have to stay up to date on the requirements of the program including policies, standards and forms. Resources to assist inspectors can be found here.
