Join Park Rangers and Staff at Pilot Mountain State Park as we celebrate the ‘Burning to Conserve North Carolina State Parks – 2020, the Year of Fire!” What is prescribed fire?  Why use fire in the landscape? How is burning beneficial to wildlife and public lands? What precautions are taken to control and maintain these fires? Learn the answers to all these questions and more, as we demonstrate with an active prescribed fire!
