Successful Workshops Highlight 2007

newberntourThe North Carolina Tree Farm Program hosted three workshops in 2007 and will look to host three more workshops in 2008.

While the topics at each workshop are unique, a staple of each workshop is a field tour of a North Carolina Tree Farmer.

The workshops feature speakers from N.C. State University, N.C. State Cooperative Extension and the North Carolina Division of Forest Resources in addition to the input of fellow Tree Farmers. The workshops typically start in the morning in a classroom setting and move to the field of a landowner in the afternoon.

This format allows landowners to share ideas in an informal setting.

Please check back to see the dates and times of the 2008 workshops.

The first workshop of 2007 took place at the home of Bob and Jean Cooper. Click here for a review of that workshop.

The second workshop took place over a two day period that doubled as the North Carolina Tree Farm Program's third annual meeting which took place in New Bern on October 9-10, 2007. Click here for a review of the meeting and that workshop.

The third and final workshop of 2007 took place in Fletcher, NC on November 15th.
