SUMMARY:Managing Liability of Prescribed Burns
DESCRIPTION:This program is for anyone that is interested in or is currently conducting prescribed burns. Participants will learn how to better prepare themselves to manage the liability they face as a result of prescribed burning. \nTopics will include:\n– South Carolina Laws\n– Writing a Burn Plan\n– CPFM Certification\n– Wildland Urban Interface\n– Weather Conditions\n– Smoke Management\n– Legal Issues – “Protecting yourself from the flames” \nCost for the program is $10 to be paid at the door. Please RSVP to Ryan Bean by phone (803-840-6124) or email (rbean@clemson.edu) by October 25 so that necessary arrangements can be made. \nThere will be 4 Category 1 CFE credits available to foresters for an additional $40 fee.
