SUMMARY:Wild Turkey Observations
DESCRIPTION:The Wildlife Commission is seeking the public’s assistance in reporting observations of wild turkeys this summer. The online survey will be available on the Commission’s website from July 1 until Aug. 31. Information entered during that two-month period gives an indication of annual wild turkey productivity\, gobbler carryover and other population trends that help agency biologists manage the state’s wild turkey population. Look for more information and a link  on ncwildlife.org on July 1.

SUMMARY:Aquatic Plants Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This is a two-day workshop on aquatic plants in fresh-water ecosystems\, especially impoundments such as ponds\, lakes and stormwater basins. The workshop will be of value to Extension personnel\, government agency staff in water quality or fresh water wildlife/game programs\, farm and forest landowners\, those who research pond/lake management\, and construction/engineers with pond\, lake and storm water responsibilities. The workshop includes both indoor and outdoor sessions.
