SUMMARY:Women's Fly-Fishing School
DESCRIPTION:The Fly Fishing School is a two-day event that will enable you to hit the water on your own with the confidence and skill needed to land a trout. Day 1 will be an introduction to gear selection\, knot tying\, selecting a fly and practice casting. Day 2 will be spent on the river fishing with a mentor. Participation on both days is required. Equipment and materials are provided. Limited to 6 participants.  Ages 12 and up. A valid N.C. Inland Fishing License is required for all participants 16 years of age and up. You can purchase a license by visiting ncwildlife.org\, via phone at (888) 248-6834 or at the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education. \n

DESCRIPTION:Learn about the wildflowers found in the Black Mountains. The hike will begin at the Old Mitchell Trailhead at the restaurant parking lot. Prepare for a moderate hike down the Old Mitchell Trail for 0.6 miles to the scenic Commissary Trail where a variety of wildflowers will be in bloom.
