SUMMARY:Hardwood Diseases
DESCRIPTION:The warm\, humid climate of the southeastern U.S. is well suited for a variety of pathogens that affect hardwood tree species. Diseases like laurel wilt\, thousand cankers disease\, Hypoxylon canker\, oak wilt and others can be difficult to identify and control\, and can lead to significant mortality and ecological impacts. These diseases can cause damage to the roots\, bowls and branches of trees\, and are often transmitted by insect vectors. In this webinar\, Dr. Ellen Crocker will discuss the identification of common hardwood diseases\, damage implications and potential management strategies. \nAdvance registration is not available. \nTo Join: You may join this virtual event 15 to 30 minutes before its scheduled start time by returning to this page.
