SUMMARY:Birds in Forested Wetlands
DESCRIPTION:Forested wetlands exist in two main ways – those that contain still water\, and those where waters flow through. And in some cases\, a forest may experience both during a given year. In this presentation\, John A. Gerwin\, Research Scientist and Educator of Ornithology\, will showcase the natural histories of some of the avian denizens that occur in these forests. He will also discuss some of the research he and his former students conducted along the Great Pee Dee and Roanoke rivers\, with Swainson’s and Prothonotary warblers among others. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
