DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Deer Hunting is designed to help newcomers get started in deer hunting\, but experienced hunters and hunter mentors with mentees are encouraged to attend. Participants can expect an interactive discussion of whitetail habits and habitats including the need for scouting\, essential equipment and techniques\, safe use of treestands\, how to spot white-tailed deer in the woods\, effective shot placement\, tracking techniques\, and what to do after the shot. \nDeer hunting seminars are provided through cooperative efforts between the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission and the N.C. Wildlife Federation. On-line registration is required\, and space is limited.
