Learn about the life of the longleaf pine, how it is managed with fire, its history and the wildlife and plants that depend on this unique natural habitat.

There is something for everyone to enjoy! Ride the Longleaf Express to a 60-acre restored Longleaf Forest, guided by N.C. Forest Service staff. Sit back, relax and delight in the musical stylings of the Kudzu Ramblers and Kyle Joynes. Enjoy a bite to eat at one of the food trucks on site. See live birds of prey, reptiles and amphibians up close – touch a snake! Enjoy the many games and crafts on hand for kids (and adults!).
