Join N.C. Forest Service staff as they facilitate a two-day exploration through the Nature of Fire activity collection. Participants will assess successional stages following disturbance in ecosystems, examine how fire is being used to restore historical ecosystems, investigate the fire triangle and fire movement, explore carbon outputs from wildland fires and how these relationships affect climate, and observe the effects of fire at the workshop site.
Register by January 31. For more information on workshop registration and logistics, call Ranger Monique McKoy at 910-588-4161.
