Full compliance with relevant laws, regulations and ordinances is the intent of this Standard. When there are inadvertent violations during management activities, the landowner must correct the violations. Where there is evidence of past violation of laws, regulations or ordinances, the landowner must show evidence of a good-faith effort to remedy the noncompliance. A pattern of willful violation of relevant laws, regulations or ordinances disqualifies a landowner from certification.

    • The landowner works with and seeks advice from forestry consultants and utilizes qualified and professionally licensed applicators and contractors.
    • The landowner became a certified burner in 2019 to become better qualified to conduct prescribed burns on the landowner’s property and to comply with burning regulations.
